Privacy Policy (Personal Information Protection Policy)

ACCESS Racing Simulator Shop (the "Shop") establishes the following personal information protection policy in order to comply with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable guidelines regarding the handling of personal information acquired by the Shop.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Shop.

Article 1 (Personal Information)

"Personal information" means personal information as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Specifically, it means information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, contact information, or other descriptions contained in the information, as well as information that can identify a specific individual when combined with other information.

Article 2 (How Personal Information Is Collected)

When Users purchase products or make inquiries, the Shop may ask for the following personal information:

a) Name and phonetic reading of name
b) Date of birth
c) Address
d) Telephone number
e) Email address
f) Password
g) Bank-account information, credit-card number, and similar information
h) Transaction history with the Shop and details of those transactions

When collecting personal information, the Shop will clearly state the purpose of use and collect the information by lawful and fair means.

Article 3 (Purposes of Use of Personal Information)

The Shop uses personal information provided by Users for the following purposes:

a) To confirm and respond to inquiries regarding orders
b) To confirm and respond to inquiries regarding shipment of products
c) To respond to inquiries
d) To analyze browsing history, usage history, and similar information and provide functions and recommendations intended to improve customer convenience according to frequency and patterns of use
e) To contact Users as necessary regarding maintenance, important notices, and similar matters
f) For purposes incidental to the purposes listed above

Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use)

The Shop may change the purposes for which personal information is used only when the revised purpose is reasonably related to the purpose before the change. If a change is made, the Shop will notify Users of the purpose and details of the change or publish them through the Shop.

Article 5 (Restriction on Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Shop appropriately manages personal information entrusted to it by Users and will not disclose such personal information to third parties except in any of the following circumstances:

1. When the User has given consent.
2. When disclosure is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent.
3. When disclosure is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent.
4. When disclosure is required by law in response to a request from a national government agency, local government, or similar public body.
5. When disclosure is made to a contractor engaged by the Shop to provide a service requested by the User.
6. When the business is succeeded to as a result of a merger or other reason.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When a User requests disclosure of personal information, the Shop will verify the User's identity and respond promptly. However, disclosure may be withheld if any of the following applies. If the Shop decides not to disclose the information, it will notify the User without delay.

1. Disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the User or a third party.
2. Disclosure may seriously interfere with the proper conduct of the Company's business.
3. Disclosure would otherwise violate laws or regulations.

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, as a general rule, the Shop will not disclose information that is not personal information, such as historical information and characteristic information.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If personal information held by the Company about a User is incorrect, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion of that personal information. Please contact the inquiry desk described in Article 10 below.

If the Shop receives a request under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Shop will correct, add to, or delete the relevant personal information. The Shop will notify the User when such action has been taken or when it decides not to take such action.

Article 8 (Security Measures for Personal Information)

The Shop endeavors to keep Users' personal information accurate and up to date and implements security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, alteration, leakage, and similar incidents involving personal information.

Article 9 (Compliance with Laws and Review of This Policy)

The Shop will comply with applicable Japanese laws and other standards concerning personal information held by the Shop, periodically review this Policy, and work to improve it. Any changes will be announced by updating this page.
